CosmetologyArtistic expression begins here, in the ever-evolving world of Cosmetology. Our rigorous educational program teaches students to master the techniques of style, cut and color, and prepare for the State Licensing Examination. Course study includes chemistry, biology, technique, etc., including extensive live model application. Upon successfully passing the State License Examination, students will also be qualified to practice nails and skin care. Cosmetology is a high energy profession and continually evolving in style as well as in technology. Boca Beauty Academy will prepare you for a career in cosmetology that’s truly rewarding. We also offer elective seminars in hair extensions, ionic straightening, and braiding. Make-up ArtistryFrom the pages of the fashion magazines to the faces of celebrities on the big screen, Make-up Artistry is at the forefront of the exciting world of beauty. A career in Make-up Artistry can take one into the fast paced world of Media Make-up, print, video & music, runway, film & TV, and bridal. At Boca Beauty Academy, student coursework encompasses makeup application, product knowledge, retail, anatomy and physiology, as well as the study of color theory and corrective techniques. Advanced course study in a career of Make-up Artistry prepares students in the disciplines of Media Make-up/Airbrushing, Permanent Make-up application, and all aspects of micropigmentation. Massage TherapyThe convergence of the spa industry with the medical sector has created a myriad of opportunities for employment in sports/ physical therapy practices, chiropractor offices, and medi-spas. Furthermore, virtually most major hotels and boutique resorts are creating in-house spas, thereby creating significant demand for licensed massage therapists. Our massage therapy program will instruct you in areas such as pathology, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. However we will also enlighten our students with a pragmatic, contemporary set of modalities such as Hot stone massage, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Prenatal massage, Sports massage, Cranio-sacral massage, Deep tissue massage, Swedish massage and Aromatherapy. Our instructors are accomplished within the massage sector and foster an appreciation for developing an inner balance and harmony and guiding our students to use proper body mechanics. MicrodermabrasionMicrodermabrasion (6 Clock Hour Diploma Program)The program objective is to introduce progressive new practices into the esthetician or cosmetology repertoire to include more result driven services by teaching the student the correct methods and procedures of microdermabrasion. Also covered are anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and conditions, clients, client and record keeping. Skin analyzing, functions and precautions and benefits. Machine training and maintenance. Uses and purposes of machine along with proper placement and treatments of the skin.
Nail TechnicianOur expert instructors will patiently teach you manicures, pedicures and all artificial nail applications including gels, acrylics, and silk wraps using only the elite OPI Nail products. All students will receive their own professional OPI Student Kit and case. Knowledgeable instructors, equipped with the latest technology and the finest products and equipment, offer all-encompassing, hands-on instruction covering technique, biology and the study of the many products used today. Particular emphasis is placed upon sanitization and sterilization. Classes can be completed in less than 2 months. Upon successful testing and completion of their program, students receive a Diploma and are qualified to be registered for licensure. Permanent Make UpPermanent Make-up (50 Clock Hour Diploma Program)The program objective is to teach students the correct methods of scientific application of permanent make-up and all the pertinent relevant information the student will need to become a Certified Derma Technologist (CDT). This program will concentrate on all micro pigmentation procedures, proper placement, color theory, anatomy and physiology, sanitation and safety and sterilization. Marketing and business procedures. Client consultation and medical issues, state law and insurance. History of permanent make-up, skin disorders, introduction of machines, implanter techniques. Check list of equipment, pigment and supplies. Treatment set up and layout. Needles and uses, actual implantation, tattoo, and correction information, and removal information.

Instructor TrainingInstructor Training (240 Clock Hour Diploma Program)The program objective is to properly train students to become well qualified instructors in the art and practice of related fields. We provide teachers in – training with well planned basic materials in theory practice and sciences. This course will cover professional conduct, teaching principles, student learning principles, lesson planning, basic teaching methods, use of teaching aids, testing, classroom management, handling classroom problems, and the art of teaching.
